A Christian Ministry
Redeem · Restore · Renew
Rooted in the biblical concept of the kinsman-redeemer — the one who steps in, pays the price, and restores what was lost. We walk alongside those society has left behind and help them find their way back.
The Name
In Hebrew scripture, the goel — the kinsman-redeemer — was the family member obligated to step in when someone had fallen: to buy back land that was lost, to redeem a relative sold into bondage, to restore what poverty or circumstance had stripped away.
It is one of the oldest acts of grace in the biblical record. And it is the animating idea behind everything we do.
"Our redeemer — the Lord of hosts is his name — is the Holy One of Israel."Isaiah 47:4
Who We Serve
We exist for people facing barriers that most organizations won't touch — not because their situations are too hard, but because every person bears the image of God and deserves the dignity of meaningful work and a place to call home.
Men and women with felony convictions locked out of the job market, ready to build something new.
Those who served and came home to find civilian life harder than the mission they left behind.
Individuals without stable housing who need more than a shelter — they need a path forward.
Anyone facing circumstances that make a fresh start feel impossible. We believe it isn't.
How It Works
We don't offer handouts. We offer a hand up — real skills, real work, real wages, and a bridge toward housing stability. The path is practical because the need is practical.
Hands-on, practical, marketable skills in resale, inventory management, logistics, and commerce — work that doesn't require a clean record to learn.
Real work. Real wages. Real experience that builds a resume, a work history, and a sense of what's possible. Not a program — a job.
A job alone isn't enough. We're building toward stable, dignified housing as the final step in a complete restoration of life and livelihood.
Our Story
The Goel Project was founded by a veteran who lost nearly everything in the aftermath of COVID-19. No safety net caught him. No program stepped in. He rebuilt — slowly, practically, one day at a time — and in doing so discovered something: the skills, dignity, and stability that come from honest work can change everything.
That experience planted a question that wouldn't go away: What about the people who don't get back up — not because they can't, but because no one shows them how?
The Goel Project is the answer. We're not waiting until everything is perfect. We're starting now, with what we have, because the people we serve can't wait either.
Support the Mission
The Goel Project is currently in formation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every dollar goes directly toward building this ministry from the ground up — training, wages, operations, and the foundation for housing to come.
Give on GoFundMeDonations are not yet tax-deductible. We will notify all supporters when our IRS determination letter is received.
